The very next night we were blessed to gather almost the entire Lynch clan (18 0f 21, including Ma and Pa Lynch!) at Danny’s house for chili, a bon fire and gaggle of kids! Three of the four Lynch ‘kids’ (Anne, Steve and Dan) each have four of their own kids now. What fun it was to spend time with our wave pool lifeguarding buddies and meet each other’s families! Thanks Dan and Melissa for hosting…and for having 10-year-old Ava J
When I was growing up in Alexandria, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, my mom had a wonderful group of girlfriends: Mary Ann, Marguerite, Marcie and Eleanor. Over the years they have come to be known, collectively, as my ‘other mommies’ and I love each of them! Unfortunately, we lost Eleanor a couple years ago; however, the rest of the gang is doing going strong! After coordinating calendars, we came up with a day for lunch. Mary Ann picked me up at the Huntington Metro and took me to Hollin Hall—old stomping grounds, for sure!—where we had a lovely Italian lunch…for SIX hours! Let’s just say, no one was surprised we were able to talk all afternoon!
Armed with a list and determined not to get distracted, we made quick work out of the Annapolis Boat Show. At Ally’s urging, we did, however, take a little time to go aboard some of the brand new catamarans…oh my!
Though we were able to see and do SOO much during the seven weeks we were in DC, there will never be enough time to spend as much time with each you as I would have liked!
